Review
Ganbare GoemonSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Goemon, the main character, is loosely based on Ishikawa Goemon the noble thief of Japanese folklore. The game is set in the mystical Feudal Japan times where every bit of folklore and legend about Japan is true. Although the game has its main roots on the action adventure category, the Ganbare Goemon series includes features from genres like RPG, puzzle and board games. Ganbare Goemon was widely popular in Japan back then. The only problem is spotted at the gameplay since it is sometimes frustrating when trying to jump over obstacles (like piles) but overall this one is a fun game to play!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The MSX2 conversion is quite good, featuring graphics with bright colors and smooth sprite animation much like the original version. Apart from the cool visuals GG has also cool sound that offers a nice Japanese-style tune composed specifically for this very game.
